UNO'S STORYHi, my name is Uno! They named me that because I was the very first Canine Castaway to be rescued. I was found wandering in the middle of a busy street and taken to animal control. I only weighed 2 pounds and was 3 months old. I had demodectic mange and as you can see in my pictures, ended up losing all of my hair. My skin was very itchy and I felt miserable. They took me to the vet who started me on medication that I took every day for almost 3 months. It tasted sort of nasty but it worked great. I am all better now and I have a very important job as the "Spokesdog" for Canine Castaways. I take my job very seriously and love to go to doggie events!
